In order to create a successful brand that is on the same level as contemporary branding, it is important to gain an understanding of the way in which other designers have presented their brand.

Colour Personality

Yembo

“Yembo's mission is to bring digital transformation to home service companies through best-in-class artificial intelligence products.” I noticed that they had a similar colour personality to the one I was thinking of choosing so I wanted to view the way in which they implement such a colour scheme into their branding.

I found their application of colour to their design elements and illustrations most interesting. It is clear to see that even with a limited colour palette, you can achieve highly effective designs that are also true to the brand. This will be great inspiration when it comes to creating my own UI’s specifically. Their design elements are also highly interesting in a similar way. The dark elements are very successful in breaking up an otherwise rather dark background.

Target Demographic

Thrift +

Thrift + are an online thrifting platform for people to buy second hand clothes and also trade them in. This is without doubt a brand with Gen-Z as their largest consumer and also their target demographic.

Their recent rebrand was very successful, breathing a whole new lease of life into the brand through the colour choice making it very memorable. I also find their tone of voice very apt to this audience, throughout both their website and marketing. The UI of their website seems very intuitive to a Gen-Z consumer as it feels very blog/instagram like with lost of extremely interesting visual compositions. Their links to social media content also cements this synergy with a Gen-Z consumer as they are aware of the way in which this generation often can be influenced by social media content creators to make a purchase.

Direct Competitor in the Financial Sector

Brite

Brite are a financial service which create secure payment options which also put the customer’s interest first by incredibly fast payments which allow the customer to keep track of their expenses.
