Sketching E-Book Layout

Having drawn inspiration from the layout of print documents, I began sketching the layout of my e-book, taking inspiration from my prototype. I want these to feel like an extension of the other. I found that changing the threshold to this vertical, A4 format definitely poses some challenges.

I was keen to sketch in a way that made sure no text would be going between pages. Despite my intentions of setting the E-PUB to double page spreads, I am aware that this will not be effective for smaller screens.

<aside> ⭐ REFLECTION: I felt that the sketching for my e-book was quite a seamless process. I think this is because I had all of the graphic elements already made from the prototype. The sketching for my e-book was mainly layout focused so this meant I was able to iterate with ease and arrive at a plan that I feel confident to execute going into indesign. Overall, I think the layout of this e-book will come together successfully.
