I decided to create the globe graphic before moving on to create the rest of the poster as I wanted it to be a big focal point.
I think this was a very successful outcome. There is a strong directional element created through the lines and they remind me of flight paths. Using point in a planetary sense furthers this humanist element that these rights apply to everyone everywhere. I then experimented with colour. I decided to use blue to further harken to a global sentiment.
I felt as though the third hue of blue felt the most appropriate. I really like the simplicity of this graphic and I feel it is translatable to many different sizes and resolutions of screen.
I liked having the edges 3 planets outside of the frame, however I felt this composition was quite sparse. I was unsure about Helvetica at this point as I felt it was too simplistic.
I decided to try Helvetica bold for the title. I felt this style was more appropriate however I was still unhappy with the composition of the text.
I tried using the Golden Ratio composition in the text of the poster. I liked this better but I felt that it didn’t read as easy as I would like.
