Initially I decided to use framer to code my website. In the beginning this was okay and everything seemed to be going well. I completed all of the website and published it for framer to only publish around a third of my essay.
I couldn’t find any way around this so I decided to use HTML and CSS. I knew this would limit some functions like having by title dividers but I would rather have a reliable website than pretty dividers.
I really enjoyed using HTML and CSS to code this website. I find my confidence has really grown in these languages. I made some changes during development. I moved the navigation to the top as I think it does look better. It also allows for the nav to hover at the top of the window meaning you can navigate the website while using it.
I added a blue hover colour to the navigation similar to the selection colour in Figma. I also added a black hover colour to the links in the footer along with relevant hover text to Natasha Jen’s social medias and portfolio.
I changed up the interface of my references also by making the writing smaller and adding a link to ‘here’ rather than having the link visible on the website. I feel that this is more clean looking.
